Housing affordability in the US worst it has been since 1980s
Political Journalist John Fund says housing affordability in the United States is the lowest it has ever been since the 1980s.
It comes as more Americans struggle as inflation continues to accelerate.
“Someone who wants to buy a house, the housing affordability in the United States right now is lower than it has been since the 1980s,” Mr Fund told Sky News host Caleb Bond.
“Which was the last great inflation.
“Interest rates are up, they have only gone down just a little bit, and everything else that’s associated with a house, whether its maintenance, whether its property insurance … has gone up dramatically.”
