Orchestrating change in Classical Music Industry
A movement for more inclusivity in the world of classical music is on the rise, as major orchestras continue to overlook female music composers.
In the current 2018-2019 season, only 76 concerts out of more than 1,400 around the world have at least one piece written by a female composer. That means nearly 95 percent of all major concerts will only feature works by male counterparts. CGTN’s Giles Gibson reports.
