US Midterm Election

Results are being declared in the US midterm elections, with the battle for control of Congress hanging in the balance. Congress is made up of two parts – the Senate and the House of Representatives – and the midterms are to elect new members of Congress. Republicans are likely to take control of the House of Representatives, according to projections, but the Senate fight is on a knife-edge. All 435 seats in the House of Representatives and a third of the Senate were up for grabs. While President Joe Biden, a Democrat, is not on the ballot, the midterms will shape the fate of his agenda.
