Washington Today (8-17-23): DHS Sec Mayorkas says new ICE & CISA headquarters to be built in DC

Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas announces $288 million in new construction at the department’s headquarters on the St. Elizabeths campus in Washington, DC, designed to consolidate operations. The money for the new CISA and ICE headquarters, front security gate and checkpoint and parking garage will come from the 2022 Inflation Reduction Act.
